Review Procedure
The Scholars Time: A Multidisciplinary Journal of Research and Development follows a rigorous review process to ensure the publication of high-quality and impactful research. Our review procedure involves an initial editorial review followed by evaluation from two independent reviewers. Below is an outline of our review process, along with a flow chart.
Review Procedure
- Submission: The author submits the manuscript via the journal’s online submission system.
- Editorial Review:
- Initial Screening: The editor-in-chief performs an initial screening to ensure the manuscript meets the journal’s scope and basic submission requirements.
- Plagiarism Check: The manuscript is checked for plagiarism using reputable plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 10% are returned to the authors for revision.
- Assignment to Associate Editor:
- The manuscript is assigned to an associate editor with expertise in the relevant field.
- Peer Review Invitation:
- The associate editor invites two independent reviewers who have expertise in the subject matter of the manuscript.
- Reviewer Selection:
- Acceptance: Reviewers accept the invitation to review the manuscript.
- Decline: If a reviewer declines, another reviewer is invited.
- Review Process:
- Evaluation: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, significance, clarity, and adherence to ethical standards.
- Recommendation: Reviewers provide their recommendations (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject) along with detailed comments.
- Decision:
- The associate editor reviews the recommendations and comments from the reviewers.
- The associate editor makes a decision based on the reviewers’ feedback and communicates it to the editor-in-chief.
- Notification to Author:
- The editor-in-chief sends the decision letter to the author, including reviewers’ comments and any required revisions.
- Revisions (if applicable):
- The author revises the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments and resubmits it.
- The revised manuscript may undergo further review by the original reviewers or be directly evaluated by the associate editor.
- Final Decision:
- After satisfactory revisions, the associate editor makes a final recommendation to the editor-in-chief.
- The editor-in-chief makes the final decision and notifies the author.
- Publication:
- Accepted manuscripts are processed for publication and made available online.
